MAGNETIC GRIPS/CASES  + AUTO SLEEP

Kobo and Kindle devices use magnets for certain sleep/wake functions, so a magnetic grip or magnetic case placed directly behind your device may occasionally trigger sleep mode. In our testing, this has been more noticeable on some Kobo models.

If the magnet repeatedly triggers the sleep/wake function, you may notice increased battery use as the device is being activated more frequently. If this happens, try turning off the Automatically sleep and wake setting on your device.
